Using squad in Art of Tactic:

The game intelligence is a very valuable unit on the battlefield. They are "invisible" to the enemy, are able to overcome rivers and swamps, direct aircraft and conduct reconnaissance. The only disadvantage of the squad is its weakness in battle, so do not use scouts as simple infantry.
