A-6 Intruder by Grumman was developed to replace the A-1 Skyraider. This is the first all-weather assault aircraft of the US Navy. The aircraft were called the A2F before 1962, title A-6 Intruder was obtained during operation. Outstanding performance in any weather soon made the A-6 the main strike force of the Navy, and the us marine corps, the aircraft was involved in the Vietnam war. A-6A were equipped with the DIANE system, the most advanced technology for targeting and navigation. The aircraft had some problems with reliability, which was solved in a few years. A total of 480 A-6A were built, of which 47 were improved to a later modification.
This model has a highly detailed cabin, engine, space for retractable landing gear. Flaps can take different positions, the wings are folded. The photo-etched parts for safety belt and interior details.
