Additional Information

MiG-17 Soviet jet fighter developed by OKB Mikoyan and Gurevich in the late 1940s, years. MiG-17 became one of the most common fighters in the world. The aircraft was the result of further modernization of the MiG-15.

The MiG-17 is a mid-plane of the normal scheme, which includes one engine in the rear fuselage, swept wing and tail. On the basis of MiG-17 was built the first Soviet fighter-interceptor MiG-17PFU, weaponry which consisted of four manageable missiles class "air-air." Despite the fact that in the mid-60s the MiG-17 was considered an outdated machine for the USSR, it proved to be excellent during the Vietnam war.
