Pz.Kpfw. V "Panther" (Panzerkampfwagen V "Panther") (Sd.Kfz. 171) – German medium tank of the second half of the Second world war, took an active part in the hostilities, since the summer of 1943 and was used by Wehrmacht up to the end of fighting in Europe. According to experts, it is perhaps the best tank in Germany during this period. It was the fifth in the line of German tanks that were developed and put into production after the end of the First world war.
