The German 150 mm infantry heavy self-propelled artillery unit Grille ("Cricket") was produced from April 1943 to September 1944. It was developed on the basis of the Czechoslovak light tank Pz.Kpfw.38(t), on the chassis of which a 150-mm sIG 33 gun was installed in an open top and rear armored wheelhouse. Self-propelled installations of this type were used on all fronts until the end of hostilities. A total of 282 cars were produced in two slightly different versions.
