150 mm German field howitzer sIG 33, mass-produced since 1933, was the main infantry weapon of the Wehrmacht of the initial period of the Second world war and provided the German infantry a significant advantage on the battlefield. The sIG 33 included various types of ammunition, including special high-explosive and smoke projectiles, as well as cumulative 150 mm projectiles piercing armor up to 160 mm thick.
