Ardelt-Rheinmetall 8.8 cm PaK 43 Waffentrager - German design has not overcome the status of the prototype. The conceptual idea was to create a plant with a powerful but heavy anti-tank 88 mm gun. The company Ardelt and Rheinmetall United efforts for the construction of the prototype. The chassis 38(t) was used, the engine was located in the front part, which allowed to balance the heavy gun in the rear part of the body, the prototype was called Ardelt I. Later an improved version of Ardelt II was created, but the end of the war did not allow the installation to go into mass production.
