Additional Information

With the outbreak of world war II, in 1939, Germany relied on its 37mm Pak 36 anti-tank guns. However, these tiny guns were of little use against such tanks as the French Char B1 and British Matilda. One solution was to install the powerful Skoda 4.7 cm PaK(t) gun on the Panzer I Ausf chassis.B. This design had two advantages, firstly was established effective anti-tank installation, second was an extended use of obsolete Panzer I. the chassis of Panzerjager I was the first German car in series of a set "tank destroyers". Between March 1940 and February 1941 202 machines were converted and used during the French company, during the invasion of the Soviet Union and in North Africa.

The kit contains an early version of the Panzerjager I 4.7 cm PaK(t), in other words a variant produced by Alkett in 1940. The model reproduces all the features of the prototype, including the thickness of the five-sided armored vehicle protecting the crew.
