"Hummel" (bumblebee) – the name of this German howitzer 15cm s.FH.18 L/30 mounted on Panzer IV chassis. Sd.Kfz.165 Hummel was produced from the end of 1942 until the end of the war, because of the acute need for artillery capable of moving in the same rhythm with the tanks. Combat debut ACS took place during the battle of Kursk. To create the ACS used a Panzer IV chassis with the engine and control system from the Panzer III. The crew was six people, the howitzer also could carry 18 rounds for the main gun. Just until the end of war was built 714 self-propelled guns + 157 ammunition transporters at its base.
