StuG III, known assault weapon effectively fought on a variety of theater. His closest relative is the self-propelled howitzer StuH III. Instead of the 7.5 cm anti-tank guns StuK 40 L/43 there is a variant of the 10.5 cm leFH 18 howitzer with a muzzle brake. Introduced in 1942, this machine provided heavy artillery support to the infantry, allowing the StuG III to concentrate on the anti-tank role. A total of 1212 StuH 42 were released.
