One variant of the Panther was an observation post known as Pz.Beob.Wg.V. At the end of 1944-45, the conversion of 41 was created such a machine. Changes forced to remove the main 7.5 cm gun KwK.42. On the tower was installed a fake tree trunk , on the right side of the tower there was a mg34 machine gun in a ball installation. New hatches and fans are installed on the roof of the tower, another distinctive feature is the star-shaped antenna in the rear part of the case.
