the Panzer IV G was the first tank armed with a 7.5 cm KwK40 L/43 in 1942. However, the Wehrmacht was in dire need of firepower to break through the armor T-34 and KV-1 and the gun was also installed on the Ausf. F (in this case, the modification was called F2). From March to July 1942 175 F2 was built.
