Trucks carrying capacity of 3 tons formed the basis of the German fleet during the Second world war. KHD S300 was one of the most mass machines of this type. The car was widely used by all branches of the military throughout the war everywhere – in the Soviet-German front, in North Africa, Italy, and France. In off-road conditions, part-wheel drive machines showed insufficient permeability, so a significant amount of KHD S3000 was produced in a half-track version of Maultier ("Mule").
Just over 1940-44 was produced 10684 car KHD S3000.
