Additional Information
Land Rover – one of the most famous symbols of "Made in England" and the most important stage in the history of construction of off-road vehicles. The machine began to be developed after world war II, the first prototype was built in 1947 for both civil and military needs. The design, though not directly, clearly had the influence of the famous American jeep. The characteristic features of the car were four-wheel drive 4x4 and strong, reliable frame. The body was made of aluminum, which made it lighter, and less prone to corrosion. By 1971, when the Series III was introduced, more than a million vehicles had been produced for civilian and military use. The car was produced in versions with a standard wheelbase (88 inches) or long wheelbase (109 inches).
