the Second version of the Patton series was developed at the request of the us armed forces involved in the Korean war. The tank began producing by the American Locomotive Corporation in 1950 and participated in the Korean war. Compared to the M-46 and older predecessors, the M-47 had important improvements such as gun stabilization and greater firepower. Although the tank did not play an important role in the Korean war, the machine was so effective that the US began to supply it to all NATO countries, including Germany, Italy, France, etc.
