Opel Admiral — a series of cars of class "luxury", produced by the German automaker Opel in the period from 1937 to 1939, and, after a break, in 1964-1977 years. The Admiral model was first launched by Opel in 1937 and was intended to compete with such cars as Horch, Mercedes-Benz and Maybach. Admiral was available as a 4-door sedan and convertible. The engine is an in-line 6-cylinder with a working volume of 3.6, which developed a maximum speed of 132 km/h. Admiral Production was curtailed in 1939 in connection with the transition of Opel to the production of military products.
