M26 "Pershing" (eng. M26 Pershing) — American medium tank 1944-1969 years (in the years 1944-1946 in the us army M26 temporarily classified as heavy). Named after General John Pershing, who led the American expeditionary force during the First world war. It was developed as a replacement for the M4 Sherman. Since February 1945, Pershing tanks took part in the Second world war; in 1950-1951 they participated in the Korean war.
