This model reresents one of the latet versions of the US Main Battle Tank M1 Abrams - M1A2 SEP (System Enhancement Package). It is fitted with new, second-generation gunner's thermal sight. Has upgraded third-generation depleted uranium armor components with graphite coating. TUSK II Reactive Armor package was added to enhace the chances for survival in urban combat. The model is built from the Rye Field Model kit and is complemented by some stowage and gear - cans, boxes, bottles and other stuff in a turret box, which greatly brings the model to life. Painted in the standard sand color for the Iraq campaign of the 2010s, with lots of weathering effects: soot, chips and abrasions, even with some exaggeration, for a better visual effects. You can also see dust and dirt streaks throughout the hull and turret. Painting was done with Tamiya acrylic paints, weathering effects were applied using various AMMO, MIG, AK Interactive products.
