hunter is the first British serial fighter jet with swept wing. Work on the creation of the aircraft began in the late 40-ies on the basis of the fighter sea hawk. The prototype made its first flight in June 1951
Successful design and good flight data contributed to the rapid adoption of the aircraft into service.
On the basis of the fighter version of the aircraft were created fighter bomber, scout and training aircraft.
Chancery was in service for over 20 years.
