the Tu-134УБ-L with engines D-30 2-series was designed for training flight crews flying on instruments in VFR and IFR weather conditions, piloting the approaches in the Director and automatic modes. The plane was supposed to fly in conditions of low 2-nd category of ICAO. In contrast to its predecessor, the Tu-134UB-L installed a new forward fuselage, such as the Tu-22M-3 with a radio-transparent Radome radar "ROSE-1".
