SA365N DAUPHIN 2 was developed by the French company Aerospatiale to replace Skylarkⅲ. Development of the helicopter was carried out from 1968 to 1969 year. In June 1978, a test flight of the prototype was carried out. SA365N first took to the air in March 1979. It was soon upgraded to SA365C. The helicopter carried out further changes, the most significant of which is the installation of a second engine. By January 1986, 362 SA365N had been imported to 34 countries. The Chinese company Harbin Aero-Industrial Corp manufactured 50 sa365n/N1 helicopters under license for use in both civil and military purposes.
