Seafang is a codification of Spiteful for deck use in the UK Navy.  Two prototype Seafang MK.The 32 were ordered on 12 March 1945, following the order of the 150 Seafang MK.31. To speed up the arrival of the new aircraft into service was ordered Seafang Mk.32, deck version differs mainly only in the presence of the landing hook. This elegant aircraft became one of the last piston-engined RAFfighters. Due to the onset of the era of jet aircraft, the aircraft was not put into service.
