theIn may 1989, on the arms of the 1st air squadron 237-th Center
display aircraft at Kubinka near Moscow received the latest
su-27 fighters, and in early 1991. had been formed
aerobatic team of six aircraft. Since the first foreign visit to the UK was scheduled for
in September, it was decided to give the new
unit a name, come up with an emblem and develop a catchy
coloring for the aircraft. So on April 5, 1991 were born "Russian Knights".
"Russian knights" -one of the very few in the world of aerobatic teams on
combat, not light training vehicles. In this combination of high flight
