Additional Information

su-27UB is a training, two-seater modification of the su-27. In 1980, Sukhoi design Bureau developed a conceptual model of the su-27 combat training modification. Its feature was the ability to perform all combat missions that can single su-27. The need for the placement of the co-pilot led to a number of changes, despite which the aircraft retained its combat properties. The first flight took place on March 7, 1985, by mid-1986 began production of the fighter at the plant in Irkutsk.
