M9 ACE (btonirovannye combat earthmover) was developed by BMY Combat System and first used by the US army in 1986. The machine is suitable for landing. The unique hydro-pneumatic suspension allows you to raise and lower the front of the machine. The M9 ACE is used to prepare artillery positions, create anti-tank ditches, clear obstacles and repair roads. The maximum speed reaches 50 km/h, originally designed as an amphibian, but improvements have made the M9 too heavy for safe swimming. The engineer operating the vehicle has no weapons, and during combat operations is usually covered by the Bradley IFV. The M9 ACE is constantly being upgraded to extend its service life.
