"Vau-2" (from him. V-2 — Vergeltungswaffe-2 ) — the world's first long-range ballistic missile developed by German designer Werner von Braun and adopted by the Wehrmacht at the end of world war II. The first launch took place in March 1942, and the first combat launch — September 8, 1944.
