British armoured personnel carrier of the 1960s. Created in the late 1950s as part of the development of THE fv430 family of combat vehicles on a single chassis, as an improved version of the early fv420 family. Serial production of the FV432 continued from 1962 to 1971, with a total of about 3,000 armored personnel carriers of this type, not counting the other machines of the family. It was the main armoured personnel carrier of the British army in the 1960s and 1970s, and since the 1980s has been largely replaced by more modern vehicles such as the BMP warrior, but a number of them, as of 2008, are still in service. Export FV432 supplied limited, only after the beginning of its withdrawal from service in the UK, a number of machines received India.
