the BA-20 Was developed in 1934 for use by headquarters, headquarters, intelligence and communications units. This was done on a civilian car GUS-M1, using its chassis, which in itself was a modified version of the Ford design, produced by the Nizhny Novgorod manufacturer of cars GUS. Full production of the BA-20 began in 1935. The chassis was built at the Nizhny Novgorod plant; the body was built at the Vyksa plant, where the final Assembly of the BA-20 took place.
