Additional Information
The Medium Mark A Whippet was a British tank of the First World War. It was intended to complement the slower British heavy tanks by using its relative mobility and speed in exploiting any break in the enemy lines. This particular model has its own special history. Captured by the Germans from the British during one of the battles, it was repaired, repainted, and used against its former owners. When the war ended, this vehicle participated in Freikorps volunteer units in skirmishes with the Communists. The same events when Rosa Luxemburg was captured and killed along with Karl Liebknecht after the suppression of the Berlin workers' uprising in January 1919. The "skull and bones" emblem is precisely the emblem of the Freikorps units. Please note that the machine guns on the tank were removed (after the demilitarization of the German army in 1918). The model is painted in three-color camouflage and then aged in such a way as to better show off the tank, which has seen a lot in its lifetime. Built from the MENG kit, scale 1:35. The tank shows signs of use, rust, soot, chipped paint, dust and dirt. Various washes, pigments and other effects by MIG, AMMO, AKInteractive were used. To spice up the model, a canister, a helmet, an oil can and even a gun on the stern have been added!Related Products
