The Lockheed L-1011 TriZvezda (Lockheed L-1011 TriZvezda) was developed by the American company Lockheed in the late 1960s in response to the need for American carriers in a wide-body airliner of smaller dimensions than the Boeing 747. L-1011 entered the market in parallel with another similar aircraft DC-10 and eventually lost the competition for orders, which was the reason for the refusal of Lockheed to create new civilian aircraft. |
