To overcome the shortcomings of the A-37 identified during operation, the US air force put forward a plan to upgrade the A-37 super Tweets. According to this plan, the A-37 became a completely different aircraft, heavier, stronger and better armed. Improved Dragongly (dragonfly) was designated A-37B. The combat load and fuel capacity increased to 2, 67 tons and 1,920 liters. To protect the crew, a multi-layer nylon armored car was installed.
