C the conquest of the Allies air superiority of Germany took the more efficient self-propelled gun defenses. One solution was the Flakpanzer IV/3.7 cm Flak, called Ostwind (East wind). In August 1944 it was ordered a hundred guns. In the turret of the circular rotation was mounted 37mm gun. A powerful rapid-fire gun could fire not only at air targets, but also on land. The crew of 25 tons of anti-aircraft guns was six people. Only 43 guns were built, mainly on a modified Panzer IV chassis.
