ZiL-157 is one of the most famous Soviet cars. This was done in 1958 at the former Likhachev automobile plant of the USSR (former ZiS plant in Moscow). the ZiL-157 was a model based on the later design of the ZiS-151, manufactured since 1948. The truck was designed as an army all-terrain vehicle, so three drive axles were involved and the diameter of the wheels plus a special defender was increased and a centralized tire pressure control system was installed. the High performance of this car has made it an excellent base model for the design of various modifications. Chassis ZiL-157 was used as a base for various types of military vehicles: trucks, headquarters, radar stations, launchers and aircraft carriers to missiles, fire mines to rocket launchers such as Katyusha, marking amphibians as "BASES", etc. the Troops of the Warsaw Pact was equipped with ZiL-157.
