the T-64 was developed in Kharkov as the main battle tank of the next generation by A. Morozov, the designer of the T-54. The revolutionary feature of the T-64 was a loading machine that allowed to release the position of the loader, which allowed to reduce the size and weight of the structure. In 1976, the T-64 modification "B" was able to launch guided anti-tank missiles through the main gun. T-64 was used only by the Soviet Union, and unlike T-54\55 never exported. Before the advent of the T-72 B in 1985, this tank remained the most advanced in the Soviet army. The t-64A was first deployed in East Germany in 1976, and a little later in Hungary.
