Additional Information
LT vz tanks.38 were formally adopted, but the units of the Czechoslovak army did not have time to do — March 15, 1939 the Czech Republic and Moravia occupied by German troops. The new customer of these combat vehicles was the Nazi Wehrmacht, and not by chance. Own tank production in Germany lagged far behind the needs of the army. For example, a General order for medium tanks Pz.III was 2538 units to March 1, 1939, the troops should have been 244. However, in reality the military took only 45 cars! In this situation the Germans could not ignore the fighting machine, the serial production of which have already begun. And although LT vz.38 not all meet German standards, it was possible to close eyes, after all, the armament and booking Czechoslovak light tank was similar to the average German Pz.III. Therefore, by August 1939 Pz.38(t) manned the 67th tank battalion of the 3rd light division of the Wehrmacht, which on the eve of the Polish campaign was part of the 15th light corps of the 10th field army of army group "South". In total, by the beginning of the Second world war, the company produced 78 Pz.38(t), 57 of them entered the 67th battalion — 55 Pz.38(t) and 2 Pz.Bef.38(t).
