During this time, the plants of the concern "Krupp" produced 8686 such machines. Appeared in April 1943, a modification of the Pz. IVH was the most widespread and differed enhanced reservation – the frontal armor plates of this 25-ton machine has reached the thickness of 80 mm. 7,5 cm gun KwK.40 L/48 was enabled to effectively deal with enemy tanks of the same class.
