Additional Information
The most popular armored personnel carrier in the world, almost 90 thousand of these vehicles have been produced over the entire period, not only in the USA, but also under license in other countries. The arena for the longest and most active combat use of the M113 was the Vietnam War. The M113 has gained popularity due to its ease of maintenance, ease of use and reliability. They tried to compensate for insufficient armor with sandbags, road wheels and mortar plates hung from the sides. In Vietnam, the standard armament of a 12.7 mm machine gun was reinforced by the installation of two more 7.62 mm machine guns. The model is built from a rare Tamiya kit from the 1980s, but of quite good quality, with added stowage (canisters, bags, backpacks), which creates the feeling of a living machine, and not just a toy on a shelf. The model also has a fully visible troop compartment interior. Bears the distinctive insignia of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the US Army during the Vietnam War. Painting was done with TAMIYA acrylic paints, with effects of lightening, darkening and faded areas, so that the model looks three-dimensional and impressive. Also visible are traces of scratches and chipped paint, as well as dirt streaks and dust.Related Products
