Il-2 - the most massive Soviet combat aircraft of the great Patriotic war. A unique combat vehicle, which had no analogues in any of the warring countries. Il-2 with a powerful rifle-gun, missile and bomb weapons was characterized by high maneuverability, was easy to pilot. Serial production of Il-2 began in late 1940, the First serial attack aircraft were single. In total, 36163 attack aircraft of all modifications were produced.
