Russian main battle tank T-90 was developed in 1989 in the design Bureau of Nizhny Tagil Uralvagonzavod as another modification of the T-72 (T-72BU). In 1993 he was accepted into service under the designation T-90. The tank is armed with a smoothbore 125-mm gun 2A46M increased accuracy. The auxiliary armament consists of a 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun coupled with a cannon and a 12.7 mm remote-guided 6p49 cord anti-aircraft machine gun on the turret. Own protection of the tank is provided by the use of active armor and the latest complex of optoelectronic suppression "Curtain-1".
