Additional Information
During World War II, the pedantic Germans used all the equipment they could get their hands on, including captured tanks. They were called Beutepanzer (German Beute - trophy, Panzer - tank). This Sherman, M4A3(76)W, was captured by the Germans after the battle in Normandy, and then recaptured by the Americans, already shot down, in Germany in 1945. The model was built from an Academy kit, plus some stowage. Sandbags were used to protect against cumulative shells. There are canisters at the engine roof, logs and tarpaulins are tied down. The model is painted with AMMO acrylic, weathering effects (dirt, dust, abrasions, chips, rust, etc.) are imitated by products from AK Interactive, AMMO, MIG.Related Products
