At the beginning of operation, all ft-17 light tanks were equipped with a riveted tower, which had a number of disadvantages, such as a complex manufacturing process, poor bulletproof booking and the inability to make a circular turn. Later, a tower with a riveted-welded structure was installed. The new turret was easier to assemble and deployed 360 degrees, which helped the tank to improve its overall performance.
